Ukraine ties it after Mudryk got a pen.

And then Cherki to Barcola with a wonder shot that hits the post and goes behind the goalie along the line.

Sudakov must be one of the candidates for Player of the tournament so far.

What is his contract situation with Shakhtar?

The work rate of that france team is comical. Nobody seem to be playing with any urgency.

Wahi slams the rebound off a Kalimuendo header off a cross by Gendrey. All 3 were subs, so well done.
2-2.

Damn, called off for Wahi offside.

Wow, third ukrainian shot is in. Clinical.
France was clearly the better team but missed their chances (along with bad luck for Barcola's shot) and Ukraine was simply well organized and clinical.

Quite a result for Ukraine remembering that France trashed them 5-0 in qualifying match for the tournament.

Edit: This part is wrong, mixed up players.

Nkunku has had a very disappointing match, was scarcely involved at all. As he has been much better in Bundesliga playing centrally, I think this is a good remainder for Chelsea not to slot him wide.

You're confusing Christropher Nkunku (AMC, Leipzig/Chelsea) and Niels Nkounkou (LB, St Etienne).

Mudryk did some things in that game.

Seems to be getting some confidence back

Hopefully Chelsea can get two more MFs over the line so he has some stability around him.

With France losing and England making the semifinals, the three remaining semi finalists qualify for the 2024 Olympics: Spain, Israel, Ukraine (France will be there as hosts)

Anthony Gordon dive gives England a penalty and that Gibbs-White misses.

That’s deserved, I can’t believe they gave that after review.

England wins pretty easily, although Israel had some chances. The second England goal looked very very close to offside, even with the lines drawn, although the Arsenal fan in me says of course ESR timed his run perfectly for the assist.

Gloukh is definitely going to be something on the Israel side. I also liked Cohen and Turgeman, although I'm watching while I work.
