Definitely have liked Sourdif’s game. Samoskevich is very skilled. Little too risky for my liking. He needs some developmental time.

First 20 mins:

McAllister has some silky puck handling, will.be focusing on him alot, think he may be a diamond in the rough find for us.

Samoskevich stood out most on forward for me, isnt scared to shoot.
Sourdif buzzes around, decent forecheck and puck hounding ability.

Wise had some decent NZ rushes and effective puck movement when entering OZ.

Liked Uens positionally in DZ.

Guzda reminds me of Driedger (good version), simple movements, stands tall when down on his pads. Not overly animated.

2nd period:

Nice snipe from Schwindt, didn't really notice him outside the goal.

Really like Uens on defense, making smart plays and seems poised out there.
Sjalin had some nice detailed plays, SOG as well.
Nause looks off but you can see the raw skill there, a couple years of AHL ahead.
Alscher will be a bottom pair DFD or nothing, no offensive upside there.

Guzda let a softie or two in 2nd but then made some nice late period stops to keep it at a 3-1 deficit.

Samo, Sawchyn and Sourdif stand out with puck on their stick, all had a couple chances and some turnovers.

Giles is huge, gives me some Bjugstad vibes.

Like the potential to find a decent bottom 6 player in Vilimanis, Wise or Arnsby.

Well that went about as expected. Carolina dumpstered us.

we had a ton of chances, including Samo wide open net. The Carolina goalie also made some good saves.
2 minutes left we got a tripping penalty. Carolina scored to PP goals. Seems about right for Panthers hockey : )

Didn’t want to see a special teams game. Liked what I seen from Samo and Sourdif. These rookie tourneys the next few years might be tough for our guys while we are void of some first round top end talent from all the trades, but who knows.
