Yotes fan, here. Wholly ignorant of the Bruins situation. By only semi paying attention to national media who likely doesn’t know what’s up, I’m getting the sense that the Bruins are in a tough spot with the cap, have exhausted their picks/prospects pool, and are in tough to keep the players they want, shed the players the don’t want, and find a way to improve team.

I may be way off base. But that’s the context behind this idea I’m about to float. I haven’t done my due diligence. I haven’t read through this thread or looked up the local articles. So I might be waaay off base. And if I am, feel free to flame. I deserve it. I was lazy about this one.

Here’s the thought, Arizona gives a couple of picks (future 2nds, current 3rds, some combination) to restock Boston’s depleted reserves somewhat (flexibility added) and agrees to take Mike Reilly’s contract. In exchange, Boston sends RFA Trent Frederic who’s likely due a big raise that might be hard to afford with everything else they needs to be considered.

Thoughts on the basic framework?

They could use a goalie and left handed defenseman. Wondering if Ullmark and Gryz could go for say a 24 1, 23 2, lafreriere and kupari
I don’t think that would be enough. Those prospects haven’t done much as pros yet and I’d like to get a 23 1st. Hopefully whatever they end up getting for futures they can flip for help next season.

If the Yotes offer their 2023 2nd pick and a 2024 3rd, I would do this deal. Not inconceivable and not flameworthy at all.

I'm on that trade Gryz train here. That being said you're so wrong that your stance isn't even defensible.

I'm generally pretty critical of Gryzs lack of offense for a guy his size, but in 75 games last year he had 26 points. All 5 on 5. 51 hits and 102 SOG. 17 mins TOI per game.

So Krug the "offensive dman" 32 points in 63 games. 14 of those on the PP, so 18 points 5 on 5. 40 hits. 126 SOG. 18 mins TOI per game.

So he gets less points 5 on 5, hits less, and shoots a little bit more....all at a larger and longer contract and an older age.

Am I missing something? What about any of those stats screams Krug is better? That's not even touching the analytics either.....

I can see something like Lindholm and Hanifan from Calgary for Debrusk and Gryz or Carlo. The Bruins would need to add to this deal.

If Byfield is available, Sweeney should go hard for him, the kid just oozes potential.
The bruins have absolutely nothing to off for QB every other team in the league could put together a better package.

Wright probably costs Pasta. I cannot see Francis dealing Wright, he has a young, lethal 1,2 punch at center for the next 15 years. I expect Wright to put up 20 goals 50 points next year for Seattle then bump up to a higher level and Selke candidate in a few years.
In what world does Shane wright cost you pasta? What is going on with the bruins board

Lots of people here hate Frederic so they would love this. How about Matt Grezlyk instead? I wouldn"t move Frederic

The world that projected him as the first overall pick last year, even though he slipped. Wright could very easily be Bergeron 2.0 and clears 11.5 m cap space.

I also did not say I would I do it but I think it costs you Pasta or at least that is Seattles ask

That one Bucci tweet from a few days ago broke some people's brains, now people are talking about trading McAoy and Pasta left and right. We need July 1st to pass so both those players can get their NMCs and we can stop talking about things that obviously aren't gonna happen.
