Any of Mailloux, Roy, Farrell, Engstrom, and Beck could make sense here.
Going with Farrell since he has the 2nd best potential of the bunch (behind Mailloux), while also being very close to becoming a fulltime NHLer.

In the jar'o
For all the shit we've given Timmins over the years (myself included) he sure did leave his mark on the team. Between Guhle, Mailloux, Hutson and Caufield that's 4 possible core players that you can build around. Not too shabby.

Hutson wasn't one of his guys.

Roy was though - and Romanov (who got us Dach).

I picked Roy... But what I love is that there are 6 players up that I can hardly pick between.

Roy, Mailloux, Farrell, Heineman, Beck & Engstrom... I wouldn't argue against anyone of them being 3rd on the list.

& Frankly, Mesar, kidney could have caused made for them too

Future is bright 😎

Another tough one to vote on. Hard to decide on Mailloux, Roy, Beck, Engstrom IMO.

I'll say Roy and add Dobes. Roy's WJC performance earns him 3rd IMO.

100% agree. I usually like to think waives of talent and that's what we are voting on for 3rd. We have a few grade A's and loads of B+ types trending very well who could turn into a grade A.

No doubt there is going to be disappointment in some areas but probability due to quantity is working in our favor. If we bat 1/3 average, it's going to end up very well for us. Plus that group is going to be growing together.

Depth won't be an issue for 5-10 years. Question is how much quality we end up with at the top half of the roster. The other angle I ponder about is how cluttered it might get in 3 years time.

Engstrom

But realistically Im voting Roy because he has more chances here. Mailloux is not top 4.

Hard one to vote on. Any one of Roy, Engstrom, Mailloux, Beck IMO. Mailloux to me has a similar road to Barron before we know.

Voted Roy as well. WJC performance gives him the edge on his resume.

Joshua Wahh! Gut feeling telling me he'll have a solid NHL career.

I have his potential somewhere between Toffoli and a prime Perry. Yup, a Prime Perry. Roy has that ability to score and play a little gritty game. You put him on a line with either of Suzuki or Dach and he's going to produce.

I voted Mailloux. I feel he's gonna be a special unit beast and his defensive play will tell us how much ice he can take.

Engstrom is a close second, better two-way than mailloux, more mature defensively at this point. I don't know about how his offensive upside will translate on smaller ice but he could pass Mailloux on next's year ranking if he has another incredible season like he had last year.

We are so stacked at D, it will be hard not to play two Ds on the powerplay if we don't trade any of the big guns.

Roy is safer bet to make it in any role asked. Middle-six or top-six is my only concern, depends on his consistency and the strenght of the overall lineup.

Add Dobes

Timmins didn't draft Hutson.

Time to respect Roy, he has a higher ceiling than the remaining prospects

Mailloux, add Fowler
From my perspective these are our top prospects, in order, based on who I think, as of today, will make the NHL ( whether for Montreal or some other team) and their potential projected impact at the next level. Things can obviously change and change quickly and often:

Hutson
Mailloux
Engstrom
Reinbacher
Beck
Heineman
Guidon
Fowler
Middlestadt
Tuch
Smilanic
Farrell
Miller

Just my crystal ball.

No Roy?

Do you have Engstrom ahead of Reinbacher because you're really high on Engstrom or because you're luke warm on Reinbacher?
