Think Seattle takes it.

WHL teams lately have stumbled in the Memorial Cup even if they were probably the favorites to win it. And it's not just that they didn't win it or make the final, they were eliminated in the round robin stage.

2022: Edmonton Oil Kings: 0 wins
2019: Prince Albert Raiders: 0 wins
2018: Swift Current Broncos: 0 wins
2017: Seattle Thunderbirds: 0 wins
2016: Brandon Wheat Kings: 0 wins

You have to go back to 2015 to see a WHL team pick up a win in the round robin stage.

I believe in Milic. He's really good.

I'm not as enamored with T-Birds D, but Milic is the backbone. They have a deep offense that can score in a lot of different ways.

I like Quebec's offense too, but Rousseau....:(

Peterborough wants to grind you, but I see them like last year's Edmonton who played like that too. They have the worst offense among all the teams.

Kamloops will be a tough out. It's either Kamloops or Quebec vs Seattle in Final.

My view: He should have been a No Draft as Mailloux had asked. Yes he will be a stud.

For all his posturing (because that's just what it is) Bettman dropped the ball on this one, he should have made him uneligible for the draft that year if he didn't want to see him drafted.

Now that he has been drafted and getting closer to AHL then NHL, every relevant official will do some PR theater to slow walk this to look good (instead of actually tackling those isssues, like the WJC scandal slowly being buried, the on-going crap in CHL, etc)

Thank God Marc Bergevin had balls to draft Mailloux. Even when he didn't want to be drafted. Mailloux going to be stud on Habs Blueline for years to come

That pick ended being good all around.

1) The Habs got themselves a real good player at 31.

2) It also was the beginning of the end of MB because the backlash of this (and more importantly the GM and scout being badly prepared for that backlash) was a big reason MB was canned a few months later.

Gutsy move, I doubt it costs his career. But it secured Habs future next 15 years

I'll repeat it...(does it make it more true though..lol), I see an all-WHL Finals. Kamloops vs Seattle. With....a Kamloops win in the end.

Now...sorry for Kamloops fans...

Really? We are taking instructions and directions from a minor? Despite his protestations against being drafted it didn’t stop him from signing an ELC that will pay him more than most here will earn in their entire working careers.
