The old man needed to take a nap. Although he might argue that he wasnt sleeping, he was just resting his eyes.
His feeble wave at the puck while in the recumbent position was the best part of the sequence.

You can have one bad contract on your roster if you are a cap team. We have 3 boat anchors though in terms of dollars to production in Kopitar, Doughty, and Pure Lack Desire.

Kopitar will be done in 2 years (thanks Bowlby for the premature ejaculation of contract extensions) and Drew has 3 years left I believe.

So 3 years for a tear down of roster players over 27 not on a great contract and they could give it another go. By then Mcdavid may also not be in Edmonton but the ducks and Chicago should be hitting full stride.

I don't think the Kings should be acquiring another young goaltender right on the cusp of the NHL.

I was hoping that Blake realized that the Kings are not contenders yet. But supposedly he tried to trade for a 31 year old goalie at the deadline. They could use someone that could grow with Byfield.

At this point the Kings are just boring to watch and watching them is even less interesting when you consider how bad of a spot they're in regard to the future. Byfield is the bright spot, and Clarke if he were to ever play.
Kopi is probably the greatest King ever, but he shouldn't be a 1C anymore. Until serious culture changes are made this team is going nowhere.

They want Kopi and Dewey to be just like Brownie: Kings forever.

The sentimental side of being a fan loves it. The real world side of it looks at years of wasted opportunity.

Majority of fans aren't those of us on HF: they would rather keep Kopi and Dewey while being a 95 point-ish team that makes the playoffs.

As long as they don't end up like the Penguins, their best players are old as hell.
