that's 48 games leaving 34 games against your divisional rivals meaning you play each team in your division 4 times with 6 games left over

So you play 6 of the teams 5 times and one of the divisional rivals 4 times and you just rotate that one team through the division every season

I'm as pissy as anyone about Turcotte and Clarke not being in the NHL but it's a long season, their times will come.
