Sagoe Jr. with a solid debut, you can see why Arsenal bought him from Fulham. Slick dribbler.

This is a game where you just want to see a Havertz goal, but he simply doesn't do enough to get any luck or bounces his way. Kai Passenger should be his surname.
He created a phenomenal chance that should have been finished by Nelson.

Also, Sagoe came over 8 years ago from Fulham. I don't think we really bought him.

Anyway, back to the game, I get why Ramsdale smothered the ball there, but I would have love to seen him go for goal with Flekken up in the box. He has the leg for it.

Would be the earliest City has exited the cup in a decade.
It's a shame they had such an easy draw
I mean that’s why these two things are related though aren’t they? Haven’t had early exits because they’ve played dross. Playing Burton Albion like three years in a row helps you stay in.

I’m more curious about who is next to go to Old Trafford

It's amazing how insistent one can be about how right they are despite being repeatedly shown otherwise. Just last year, same cup, same round. City had Chelsea

2023 @ Newcastle
2022 x Chelsea
2021 x Wycombe
2020 x Bournemouth
2019 @ Preston
2018 x Oxford
2017 @ WBA
2016 @ Swansea

So what’s wrong? Last two years? Sure, (if Chelsea counts), but all the other round 3 Pep draws? Look for yourself.

Recency bias is only thing that says otherwise but that’s clearly the exception, not the rule.

So what’s wrong?
Half of them are PL teams and this is supposed to be proof of anything?

Guess you can't have the difficulty of Leicester City, Derby County, Norwich, Lincoln City, MK Dons, Chelsea, Leicester City, Derby County.

In other words, since 16-17, City has faced more PL teams in the 3rd Round of the Carabao Cup than Liverpool, but somehow City always get easy draws. Here, I'll add another two years to match the 10 years @hatterson mentioned.

City

2021 x Wycombe
2020 x Bournemouth
2019 @ Preston
2018 x Oxford
2017 @ WBA

2015 @ Sunderland

2014 x Sheffield Wednesday
Liverpool

2021 @ Norwich City
2020 @ Lincoln City
2019 @ MK Dons
2018 x Chelsea
2017 x Leicester

2016 @ Derby County
2015 x Carlisle United
2014 x Middlesbrough

So let's just stop your whole narrative. It's wrong, it's exhausting, and it's tired.

Recency bias is only thing that says otherwise but that’s clearly the exception, not the rule.
It's literally 50/50 in the past 10 years, but yeh, exception not rule

Liverpool's list of opponents over that same period has roughly the same quality. That's because in the third found of the cup there's a ton of lower league teams left over.

I mean I didn’t mention ten years because I was specifically only looking at Peps tenure but whatever floats your boat

That’s fine. It tilts. Take off the last two years and it looks a bit different.

Anyway who is coming ti old trafford?

Sure, but it's not like his tenure changes the fact. It just is a little bit closer. Liverpool still has the easier draws in the 3rd Round and it's still 50/50 for City

I’m not the one who still brings this up every draw. Yeah LFC have gotten easier draws in the last two years than Man City at this stage. That’s fine. I’m over it.

My new thing is this Old Trafford streak that has continued! Cannot wait for you weirdos to be like “I THOUGHT UTD NEVER GOT AWAY DRAWS LOL” when they break their 12 in a row and counting streak

This Livramento kid for Newcastle looked pretty good in his first start. He shut down Grealish all day, and looked to have decent composure with the ball. They'll need him, as Trippier will need to be rested.

In general, Man City had a lot of possession, but didn't look dangerous, while Newcastle did have some moments where they did look dangerous, though the whole game was pretty tight and careful.

Pools are random garbage so they don't have to come up with an actual system. It makes the competition about luck.
