If 2 players are the same defensively the better offensive player is better regardless of size.
This is where the grit vs “skill” debate goes to shit .
People think grit = slow and not skilled .
Small = one dimensional and soft.
All Im tryig to say is I take the big bodied guy that can take a hit and win board battles and does not shy away from contact yet has decent skill over a guy that has slightly more skill but is small and shys away from contact and certain areas of the ice.
Im not tryig to change your opinion here. Just trying to show where I am at.
Rhere is way more to the game than points scored.
Look at the top 25 forwards in playoff scoring so far . I’d say one in the top 25 (Marner) is a guy I classify as not being ”gritty” Almost all are known as gritty players. Reason ekg when hockey is played when it matters the most , those guys shine and the one dimensional guys disappear or get healthy scratched like your Tatar .
