James Balagizi who scored for Crawley is on loan from Liverpool. He is probably in their second tier in terms of prospects. Very high upside

Then and there
Not a dominating performance by Everton at all, but rather workmanlike win over Fleetwood, who put out a spirited performance. But it's the first win of the season for Lampard at least.

The highlight of the Villa win was Douglas Luiz scoring straight from the corner.

Also, Ben Woodburn scored for Preston against Wolves.

Undav puts Brighton up 1-0. Fun game to watch just to see some of the new young signings and academy players get a shot.

Liverpool shafted again and City get an easy draw. Ridiculous.
Good LFC need a break.

LFC won the cup last year with the usual draws that Man City get and Man City got knocked out early against a PL team like Liverpool had been. Maybe it’s leveling out after 6/7 years? About time.

I hate home cup draws though.

According to The Times, clubs will discuss the proposals as part of the ‘New Deal for Football’ at the Premier League shareholders’ meeting on Wednesday.

The suggested changes are aimed at accomplishing two things: Easing the congested calendar and distributing more funds to the English Football League.

One notable proposal, is to scrap FA Cup replays for the third and fourth rounds, something that is seen as inevitable given the scaling back of replays over the past few seasons.

But perhaps the most eye-catching change that has been put forward revolves around the League Cup, currently known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons.

The plan would see the clubs involved in European football field their U21 sides in the Cup instead, or not take part in the competition at all.

Bump. Today is the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Bournemouth-Everton, Wolves-Leeds, Nottingham-Tottenham, Arsenal-Brighton, Newcastle-Crystal Palace, Man City-Chelsea, and Man U-Aston Villa are the EPL-EPL matchups.

Brentford-Gillingham, Leicester-Newport County, Soton-Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham-Blackburn, and Liverpool-Derby are the other matches involving EPL teams.

Fulham is already eliminated

Gillingham is knocking out Brentford is fun. City will probably get them next.

Not because of the easy draw, but would be a call back to this:

City already have the kits for the throwback too.

Also Bournemouth beat the Ev
