I know Granger has said more than one time they see Krebs as a winger, and everything they do seems to confirm it. But then why get both Janmark and Dadonov to block him?

They've played him both at LW & C in camps and during games. He looked great centering Tuch & Roy last season.

Perhaps they'll 'Kucherov' Tuch until the playoffs to have a 4th line of Janmark-Krebs-Roy. :sarcasm:

Anything not to have to see Carrier on the ice I'm good with. I wonder if they will get nostalgic for big dudes who can't score again and put together Carrier-Howden-Koleslaw for another version of a "we hit more than you" fourth line?

Well hopefully the offseason theme of stockpiling speedy former 1st round busts, that can play C, is an indication that they're aware of how useless the 'meat grinders' were since the Dallas series.

But since they're seemingly going to place Tuch on LTIR before opening day, they can still add another plug via waivers.

Well, the ones acquired are big, too....

Carrier-Roy-Kolesar seems to be the 4th line right now, and yeah that's a meat grinder + Roy.

Practice lines today:

Yuck, seriously PDB needs to be gotten rid of. You are going to use preseason practice to use the same top line that's been there forever and struggles to score in key moments? Why did the team give you all these new offensive options? Mix stuff up!

Everything people have said of Howden points to a grinder. I think Carrier, Roy, Kolesar and Howden will be the fourth line in various combos through the season.

2 can play RW, 2 can play LW, 3 can play C. I'm sure they can also play opposite wing when needed. Rotate out to help fatigue, or in injuries. Hopefully none of them (besides maybe Roy) ever have to play above the fourth line, however.

They all seem to fit the big grinder role but they all have some talent and have flashed better. But none of them have any finish.

They changed up the 4th line during scrimmage to try Krebs & Brown.

Plus they way Deboer has been talking about relying on top forwards too much to kill penalties (not sure that's a bad thing) makes me think they have plans for Howden. He killed a lot of penalties for NYR last season.

I doubt they'd have Krebs on the 4th line but who knows

Hooking a pedigreed thoroughbred to a plowyoke sounds very DeBoer

The VGK and T-Mobile Arena sites have NOT been updated to indicate that VGK Express (bus service) will be happening for the 2021-22 season.

(Raiders Express bus service to Allegiant for Sunday's game is happening.)

Parking prices (prepaid, in advance) are up from the last time I went to a game (about 20 months ago).

The RTC site has been updated. It's continuing but some of the pickup locations have changed. Now the locations are only Station Casinos and The M.

Rangers fan here, had a question for you guys on Gallant.

What’s his MO on in game line changes? Is he a blender guy if things are flat or is the lineup, the lineup?

Thanks

With us he wasn't a blender, but that might have just been a case of circumstance really. Once the Marchie/Karlsson/Smith line got established they pretty much never got broken up. And the lack of talent in the bottom 6 meant all the other lines were more or less obvious fits. He may well be more of a juggler if the skill is more evenly dispersed on the forward lines to start.

Lawless & Order: The Blog | Sept. 21

Is Cogs a Spoke?
Dylan Coghlan is an excellent passer, has a bomb of a shot and plays with a bit of an edge. He's ready to be an NHL defenseman and will enter camp in the top seven along with Shea Theodore, Alex Pietrangelo, Alec Martinez, Brayden McNabb, Zach Whitecloud and Nic Hague. The question regarding Coghlan is can he usurp one of the six regulars from last season? Injuries happen and Coghlan will get ice time but one has to wonder if he can make a push for more. Training camp and the preseason is important for this young player.

From Gary Lawless, aka McCrimmon's mouthpiece/hypeman.

Krebs is not making a great case for a spot tonight. That's the 4th time he's passed the puck straight to a Shark. Finally got burnt.

Only 1 PP but I love what Patrick does as a net front guy. He and Dugan have had strong games.
Dugan didnt play to his potential tonight, i wasnt super impressed. Patrick looked really good....fantastic on face offs and some really heady passes.

Weve all seen what Krebs can do. First game back from surgery and a long time off, I hope he finds it quickly.

Dadonov looked like a veteran, as he should. Not shy to body up and had a couple good chances. Cotter screaming for a place on the roster.
