He definitely could have but the Giant back was right there to yank the ball away from him. Good play by him

It’s was definitely underthrown. Meyers had his man beat and had to slow up which allowed the DB catch him. It wasn’t a bad throw but if he had the arm to hit him in stride that doesn’t happen.

That was a good throw by Newton, Meyers just lost at the catch point to a guy who made a good play. And I’m on the record as wanting Mac to start (I just think Cam will for a bit)

edit: rewatched it, that was a PERFECT throw. Safety was over the top
