Rocker will be eligible next year. He could go back to college, but his agent already announced that he will start his professional career.

This whole saga started when Rocker denied teams access to his MRI results before the draft, unlike the other pitchers. But why did the Mets draft him anyway? And why did they, as it was reported, try to sign him for a lower bonus? Boras is Rocker's agent, he usually knows what he does and has built up quite an organisation. I cannot believe that this is a huge gamble for Rocker - I guess it is for Boras.
