Hey guys, I'm just going to get this started as @Schenn hasn't started it yet (and normally we're done the rankings by this point in the offseason). If he would like to take over, feel free! I don't mean to be stealing his thing.

1. Each poll will be open for 24 hours.

2. As we never have a consensus way as to which players are still considered prospects, we'll be using my way (at least for the first few polls). The player must be U24 and have less than 50 GP in the NHL. The "prospects" that are left off because of these rules are Joey Anderson, Adam Brooks, Joseph Duszak, Vladimir Bobylev, and Nickolai Chebykin.

3. I will start the poll with 10 of the most consensus guys I've seen on the Marlies/Draft boards. I will list the players on the docket (and their most recent season stats) as well as guys that have the ability to be added. Vote on who to be added next or I'll choose myself.

4. At this time we'll stick to the top-20, but if we want to go to 25 or 30 (I believe the Leafs have just over 30 guys that are eligible) I'll definitely go further.

Sandin for me.

He thinks the game at an elite level. If he can manage his mistakes a bit better he will be a top pairing guy for his entire career IMO
He did a good job QB the PP during the playoffs, especially considering he didn’t have that much nhl experience to begin with. Besides that Byron mishap he was pretty good.

Robertson for me easily. Waiver exempt and the additions of Ritchie takes away his chance of any top 6 playing time void of injuries. This circumstance kind of determines his development being furthered in the Ahl. Not a problem for me and I actually like it. The Marlies will be full of good homegrown prospects that will be fun to watch.

Robertson is more a prospect in true sense of it. Lacks opportunity to make the Roster. Starts the year in the Ahl.

Sandin has the advantage of more opportunity to play. Same quality of player as Robertson with advantage of less strength in the organization at his position. Sandin is a Roster player.

Ya I thought he played well in almost every game he played in this year. He single handedly cost us game 5 with 2 absolutely boneheaded mistakes, but that is unfortunately going to happen here and there with a young player who plays the game the way he does. We don't even talk about the Gally OT gaff if Sandin goes high and hard 1 of the 2 times he coughed it up. But them's the breaks. We need him to play with confidence, and he just got a little caught up in the moment and payed for it.

His vision is elite. I can't count how many times this kid broke out the zone with just a quick touch pass, or head fake. He goes back on pucks extremely well, which ultimately limits the time he actually has to defend. I think we have a future #1 in Sandman, its just about minimizing the mistakes. But that will come

Lilly for me. The best all round package in our prospects system with high upside too. You could make an argument for any of the big four for no 1 though and I wouldn't disagree.

Voted Sandin, but I don't technically see him as a prospect. He's no longer Calder eligible, but that's a different discussion.

Otherwise I would've voted Robertson.

We have a pretty clear Top 4 with Sandin, Robertson, Liljegren and Amirov and really have no issues with anyway they are ranked.

I voted Sandin because of how I think the organization views him

He's going to get every opportunity I'd imagine and he plays an excellent all around game (even though the straight line skating leaves something to be desired)

I can't believe how many people have Liljegren as the top prospect considering he's been in the organization for as long as he has and shown absolutely nothing beyond an ability to cough up the puck at the NHL level. What has this guy done in the 4 years he's been here to still be considered a top prospect? There are lots of guys who can take a minus while shooting from the right side, he is far from special.

Robertson, think he has the highest ceiling. Think Sandin's size and skating will limit him from becoming a true number 1 all situations dman, but see him as a solid top 4 dman which is nothing to be disappointed about.

About time to start this, thanks Morgs!

Options should be sorted by name though, not by your preference, ...

Would love to do Top 30!

Sandin!

Next one will be difficult between Amirov and Robertson. :DD

(I can't wait for Liljegren to finally get a real chance in the NHL, but I hope he only finishes 4th here, just for the tears and outraged overreactions of the prospect thread guys  )
