Well, it's about time to get this going. We will likely want to start the draft on August 1 to ensure we're done on time. Preference will be given to the managers from the previous draft unless they don't respond or pass in which case some new spots will be open!

I am in. Can I claim half a win for this winter? Since I think I was in the lead when they canceled? ;)
Only if we can give JTS half a loss as well.

@BoldNewLettuce @Jumptheshark @Paralyzer008 @lakai17 @BarDownBobo @McMozesmadness Let me know if you're all in - we're going to need to start drafting in the next couple of days here so we'll have to search for replacement GM's if you're out. I'm heading off to Mexico on Friday but I should still have internet access so I'll be able to make my picks (although depending on the quality of the margaritas, I might be making some very odd picks!).

That was me in the 16-17 draft, and that was one of my better years, finishing 3rd.

Mozes has told me that he's good to go - was just busy today but wanted to let you know he's in.

Sounds good. No response from @BoldNewLettuce so if we don't hear soon, @ConnorMcMullet is in!

When do we want to start drafting? It looks like Canada announced their roster yesterday and the tournament starts in a week. Possibly start today?

I want to avoid putting in a timer if possible but I could see this summer-time draft progressing a little more slowly.

We need to get through a little more than a round a day so try to keep picks relatively quick. If you know you're going to be offline for a period of time, please send a picklist to me or someone else so we can keep things moving. If needed, we'll look at adding a pick timer but hopefully we won't need to!

At this rate, we might never get to your pick haha.

I was a little worried about how active people will be in the summer. We might need to pick a day/time where most people are available and hammer out a bunch of picks (with those that can't make it submitting pick lists).

Or we may need some type of time limit at some point if necessary this year. I am not for any time limit but if things are getting tight I am down for it of course. The best solution as you stated was sending the pick to someone so the draft rolls consistently

A Draft Night Discord/Meet/Zoom would work if/when time get tight.
