Of all our players, the one I'm most interested to watch tonight is Tkachev.

No, I am just saying the way Gabe / Tkachev / Andersson have been playing, they have been more like the first line , than Kopitar / Arvidsson / Brown.
I also expect Arthur to benefit from playing on that line now. (over 4th line the other night)

i think it was like the 1st or 2nd preseason game with all the kids playing, he was actually rolling 4.. boy did that ever change by the end of preseason

As much as I like Tkachev-Vilardi-Kaliyev offensively, I really worry about them defensively and the speed of Vegas could really take advantage of Vilardi and Kaliyev on the same line. I'd personally rather see Kaliyev with Danault and Iafallo or maybe even just swap brown with Arty.

It's tough to throw a rookie on the top line so I understand to some extent but if he shows well the first few games theres no reason he shouldn't get an audition up there. I also think It'd be mutually beneficial between Vilardi and Brown if they played together too. Gabe to get some experience on his wings and Brown to play less minutes against inferior competition.

If the Danault - Kopitar lines are a wash with the Stephenson-Karlson lines, then I would actually prefer Kaliyev on the 3rd line. Hopefully gives Vilardi's line a better match up.

Excited and depressed all at the same time. Part of me feels like we're going to get our teeth kicked in, part of me thinks we see some good things arise. I guess the anticipation is part of the fun for a team that should be on the rise and I don't want ot have any expectations but now is the time to start fulfilling them. GKG!
