No. Lower body injury. Deboer said Pacioretty is "not close".

They have to think more and more that Pacioretty is on his way out in the summer, with only a year left.

He is out of the lineup so much but still has good goals and points per game numbers that a team will roll the dice and we could probably get an asset and hopefully hold on to Smith if they can also trade Dadonov.

A reason to get Eichel is a situation like this. If you have a line with Eichel and Stone on it (next season) they should be able to take a reasonably talented left wing and help him look like a bona fide top sixer. That could even be Stephenson, who has looked to have some chemistry with Eichel already, and has some with Stone. Then, the Misfit line gets another year at least.
