What is it about the 3-6 matchups in 2020 postseasons in all sports?

NFL- both higher seeds lost in the wild card round

NBA- the best first round series

MLB- both higher seeds did not win a game

NHL- our only non qualifier lower seed upset and an eventual Stanley Cup finalist that was on the brink of an early exit
