The whole season will be cancelled soon enough. When you don't lock it down in a bubble, this is going to happen. Just being involved in everyday activities is enough to put you at risk for COVID. The bubble eliminates the risk from all the non-MLB individuals, without the bubble, there is no way to have any sort of containment.

What do you do with the schedule for the other clubs, what about when this happens to another club, what do you do with the draft, etc. It's clear MLB had no actual plan besides hoping and praying that they didn't get COVID.

I imagine within the next couple weeks more and more players are going to opt out.

Cardinals should finish the season, but shouldn't get percentage tiebreakers if they don't play 60 games. They can at least save the schedule from getting completely messed up since they can't seem to control themselves and stay clean when everyone else is (sans dumbass Miami).

That’s now four straight Cardinals series postponed because of their incompetence. Make them forfeit games already.

Yordan and his freaking knees! Out of the lineup today with issues to his right knee. Baker the other day thought he wasn't running all that great in his first game. Knee issues last year. Knee issues going into Spring training and knee issues now. Can't they figure out what's wrong? Or is it more of a big man running causing his knees to hurt? Hopefully it's just for today.

Khris Davis didn't have a single pa in their Saturday doubleheader...
i really want to know what happened to him

he started off last year smoking hot, he signed that extension and then got hurt in pittsburgh a few weeks later and missed some time. struggled the entire rest of last season after he got back

and he managed to regress even further this season to the point where he really doesn't even belong at the big league level. he can't catch up to balls he was hitting out of the park the last few years and swings at shit 5 feet outside. his entire demeanor at the plate has changed. is he still dealing with lingering injuries? did the extension mess with his head? it's very odd

^He's the type of guy who lives in his head and when he's on, he's really on. Flipside is when he's off, he's not even AAA level.

Wonder if it could be his vision, too. I know his mom use to throw him tiny beans he'd hit with a stick to train his hand/eye, but I see him moving his eyes around and shifting them a lot at the plate as if something is in his eyes. It could be something simple as a vision change and a stubborn athlete not addressing it.
