I hope the Vikings are involved here. They badly need help in the secondary and he's still a good player. The fact that he screwed the Saints and all of their fans hate him is just a bonus.

This ask seems a lot more realistic from the Vikings side than what Rapoport said earlier today. Vikings likely would've gotten a 3rd round comp pick next year if they didn't franchise him so trading him for a late pick doesn't make sense.

It's part of the business but it's still a crappy situation for Harris. He was a UDFA, who developed into one of the best safeties in the league, and he gets screwed by the franchise tag when it's finally time for him to cash in. Hopefully he still gets his big deal from the Vikings or someone else.
