He has been injured often though. Which does raise a legitimate question, who do you keep, him or Springer? He is 5 years younger but not as durable with back issues at 25.

Correa. Younger and he's a middle infielder.

"Dusty can't win the big one"

leads team back from 3-0

Dusty HAS been Bruce Boudreau like though, great regular season success and snakebit in the playoffs

2002 - on the brink of a WS, the Giants blow a 5-0 lead in the 7th inning of Game 6, then get housed in Game 7

2003 - the Bartman series, where the Cubs were up 3-1 and lose the last three including the epic Game 6 up 3-0 in the 8th inning

2012 - up 2-0 in a best of five with the Reds he loses the last three to the Giants

2016-17 - loses deciding Game 5's each year with the Nationals, then they finally win a WS with the manager after him

This would be the kind of series that could break a long hex though, just like when the Red Sox broke their curse they needed the epic 0-3 comeback against their hated rival to do it.

But again, he has been injured more and one of them was a back issue. If he was having that issue at 25, im not sure about his long term health and especially as as middle infielder. I dont see it as clear cut as he is 5 years younger. I think Springer is gone, and Correa is a Boras client and he will go to free agency as that is a year away.

If they win that game, Mike Sciosia probably doesn't last as long as he did with the Angels. Alot of people's lives could've been different.

I think the Angels getting only one WS was a failure of sorts.

They should’ve at least won 2 or 3 more, there have been some good Angels teams after 2002 where they have come up way short.

In 2004, they had Guillen, Glaus, Anderson and Vlad still in their prime. After that, they just had a bunch of role-players and a Vlad. Certainly not a special team when you match them up against the likes of the Yanks and Red Sox. The Angels just took advantage of the weak AL West in the 2000s and remember that it was only a 4-team division back then.

the 05 team was up 1-0 in the LCS before losing game 2 on that terrible dropped 3rd strike call which gave chicago all the momentum

at least one of those 07, 08, and 09 teams should've made the WS. 08 was their biggest missed chance i'd say. their pitching was outstanding that season and they had teixeira playing out of his mind after they got him at the deadline but they again couldn't get past boston

the Angels actually beat the Yankees in 2 of their 3 2000s playoff series. Boston was their bugaboo (1-3)

Tonight is looking like it might be the end of the Astros reign of terror.

Admittedly I didn't pay much attention to the MLB this season outside of the NL West. But I had never even heard of Arozarena until about game 3 of the Yankees-Rays series and now I've heard of him making huge plays every game since.

Is it just me, or does the colour guy on the Astros/Rays broadcast sound just like James Woods?
