It's very simple, until 2 years ago, he showed little, then had a big MHL season.
Last year, as a rookie he played well, then signed an extension with his KHL team through 2021-22.
Flyers News: Ivan Fedotov signs extension with Traktor Chelyabinsk

This was probably approved by the Flyers.
From their perspective, with Sandstrom and Ustimenko already in the system, and Lyon in the AHL, Fedotov (and Ersson) are getting better experience in the KHL and SHL than they could in NA.
So there's no point rushing them, there is an adjustment to NA ice, but I suspect it's less for goalies than for other positions.
He hasn’t been in the MHL for 5 years and had his breakout season 2-3 years ago. They retain his right for another 2 years right? At that point they should bring him over and see what they have. He’s having another great season thus far

Take a few days off to focus on work and get some stuff done and I miss 2 prospect ranking threads. Frick.

Not indefinitely. Until age 27 when UFA.

They did under the old CBA though (last indefinitely).

Well, if they don't think he's worth bringing over in 2022-23 and signing to an ELC deal, then it won't matter if his right expire the next season. He turns 26 in November, 2022.

We should just go alphabetically.
New polls to be considered:

Ugliest Flyer of all time: This is your big moment Kev

Reasons why Michel Therrien is still employed: personally I can’t think of any except
A. Chuck Fletcher is a simpleton
Or
B. Therrien is secretly Dave Scott’s long lost little brother

Who sucks more than Hagg?
1. Vacuum cleaners
2. The guy who wrote “Baby Shark”
3. People who think hot dogs are sandwiches
4. Michel Therrien
5. No one
