Knew Stone would not get 11m per as some were suggesting on this forum. 9.5 is still a little pricey imo but they can afford the extra mil or so.

Hopefully the Sabres get Skinner done something like 8/64...

Brannstrom is a stud - can't remember the last time a prospect this good this young got traded...

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but Stone's deal strikes me as the next in a long line of bad winger contracts. Might take longer than most to get ugly, but we'll see. Wonder what Skinner ends up getting.

He was pretty clear on his phone call he has all his roots planted in Ottawa and didn't want to leave. So either he's a huge liar, or Ottawa is cheap. The latter doesn't have a good history at being wrong. AAV was 9.5 for 8 years on Vegas deal

I don't think it's ugly but he's slightly overpaid for sure IMO. I had him in that 8-8.5m range.
