It would've been fun to see two Selke finalists on the same team but guess it wasn't in the cards.

I'm guessing Ottawa simply coveted Brannstrom much more than Vaak, in the end it takes two to make a deal.

Hoping we end up grabbing a Hoffman or something otherwise this was a dud deadline.

Sweeney better come away with something. Coyle was a good start but it's not enough

It's patently obvious the kids alone are not gonna get the team over the hump

Brannstom was 15th overall and worth more than the comparable pick since now he's 2 years more mature.
He's like the youngest player in the AHL and putting up decent numbers.

Also Bruins may have tried to lock Stone on an extension
