Will Ottawa take Clarkson to switch from 19 to 17?

I think we could do that depending who is on the board.

If we do that I think I would feel a lot better about not having to do something dumb.

Trading Miller and Eakin/Haula should be simpler and Holden and Reaves shouldn't require a big asset to trade.

I think we have options at 17, or at 19 if we can get rid of Clarkson. The Karlsson news seems promising, now I think if they can reaffirm Gusev will play for the team.

IIRC Edmonton has indicated they want Broberg. So here's hoping Soda drops to 17 somehow.

If Soderstrom is at 17 we take him but I doubt he will.

Probably Newhook or Kaliyev, maybe they go off the board with Tomasino but might as well try to trade back with Ottawa for Clarkson if that's what they are doing.

If we trade back with Ottawa, would it have to be for future considerations so we can pay Clarkson then the deal goes through after he gets paid in July instead of right now?
