Real good strategy as Peat is a turnstile and Warford was average, at best this season.

Smart game planning. Hunter did get Ramczyk for two sacks, including the sack fumble towards the end of the game. Ramczyk set up further outside, Hunter went inside, and he had a clear path to Brees. They also had Warford one on one against Linval on that play and he got shoved right back into Brees' lap so he had to move to his right making it even easier for Hunter.

Did Brees complete many deep passes this season to Thomas? If most of Thomas' receptions were short to intermediate routes, then there's no reason to fear him going over the top on you.

I'm not sure about deep passes but Thomas was one of the leaders in YAC so he made big plays either way. Yesterday he only had a total of 12 YAC on his 7 catches. They did a great job on him.

The Saints never turned the ball over more than 1 time in a game during the regular season. Only 8 turnovers on the year in the regular season.

I know they played well to beat the Colts for their SB in 09, but they can also thank Brad Childress and Brett Favre for even being there.
You can say this about pretty much Super Bowl winner. though Most would have played a close game where the opposition messed up.

In the last three games against the Vikings, Brees has thrown four picks, fumbled twice (lost one), and been sacked five times. Zimmer knows what he's doing.
