The future is looking pretty bright. This has to be the deepest pool in the league and we are finally starting to get some upper echelon forward talent coming through with Zegras IMO having arguably the highest upside of any forward we’ve drafted since 2003 and guys like Steel, Terry and Comtois coming through who all look like they should be low end 1st liners/high end 2nd liners and Lundestrom has intriguing upside also.
There were some massive falls, especially among our dmen as clearly we have a lot less to be excited about on the backend and we also had two incoming forwards drafted in the first round in the 2019 draft. On the backend LaCombe could be someone to watch for, same with Thrun. Benoit had a great camp and could be a late bloomer with number 4-5 potential.
