There it is....as AlwaysSunnySaid… matter of time before Houston broke through.
And Altuve...the smallest Astro...is the one with the big bomb.

Only thing I gotta say about this is.... maybe this wakes up the Rays at the plate.

Problem is, Verlander doesn't care HOW awake the Rays are... he is on cruise control.

Yeah, that's game. You can't gift a vastly more talented team two additional runs like that.

Agree with Pierzynski, Meadows needs to take control and have that ball.

Pressure is on the Rays offense.

I'd be happy if they can scratch out at least one in this next half inning...gotta start somewhere.

Verlander looks no where near out of gas, he throws deceptive stuff all the time anyways.... Rays batters are just gonna have to look for specific pitches and not chase everything "hoping" they make contact.
Easier said than done, but that is what they have in front of them.

Cmon, boys....

Rays down to six outs.

Looking more and more like they will be facing Gerrit Cole in Game 2 down 0-1 in the series.

Astros just put up more runs... 6-0 now.
Unless Verlander hits his head on the top of the dugout and forgets what he was doing, this isn't looking good for TB.

Osuna closes it down.

Not sure who can beat these guys. Even the 1998 Yankees were not this 'loaded' in my view (those Yanks were incredibly amazing at finding ways to win).

The better, favored team won...congrats to the Astros for their series lead.
Rays still have at least a couple games to work with.

Gerrit Cole has been just as good as Verlander, but we will see.

Go Rays... Game 2 coming up!

the Rays for whatever reason they struggle in game 1’s in the playoffs.

Not Braves bad or Raptors bad, but even when they made the WS run, they lost game 1 of the ALCS (which they still won anyway).

I believe the only game 1’s they won (not counting their 2 AL WC wins or the game 163 at Texas) were the 2008 and 2011 ALDS
