I voted for Morand. I’d like to see him make a jump on production and hopefully make the WJC roster

I'm going Kopacka here. Notable progression in each OHL season, intriguing blend of size, speed and compete with possession & scoring ability. I don't see him ever carrying a line offensively at the next level but he could be a very useful complimentary top 9 winger who does the dirty work on a line with a pair of our skilled forwards.

I still think Welinski has 2nd pairing upside so I'm going with him. Part of me wanted to go McLaughlin though. Huge fan of that pick.

I need to see more of him before I can personally have him this early, but he does seem like a very intriguing pick, Perbix as well.
Something interesting I noticed about Perbix: he doesn't turn 18 until September 13, a super late birthday for this draft. He is currently listed at 6'1" 175, and his older brother, Nick, is 6'4" 195 at 20 years old. He could get to be pretty big.

Ill go with Groulx on a bit of a hunch, that hes going to break out in a big way next season... seems like a solid prospect with lots of untapped potential/upside

Went with kossila he was stuck with echl wingers on the fourth line during his cup of coffee if dinosaur gives him a 3c opportunity with legit nhl wingers I believe he will have a chance

I think some of our older prospects slide in here due to nhl readiness. Personally I still think welinski will actually have a good career in the nhl

Kossila was ppg in ahl, which is much more than any prospect in this list will be at 21,25,30 years old. I could see kossila being bonino-ish

If you value a high AHL floor more highly than a low NHL ceiling (and at 25, you can't realistically assume an elevated ceiling), you're free to do so, but most people will feel differently, considering low ceiling guys can be had for free on waivers every season. It also seems pretty baseless to suggest that none of those guys will ever manage an AHL PPG season, as if there weren't 50+ guys to do that last season alone. Maybe not at 30 years old, considering decent pro players, more often than not, will make their way away from the AHL to the top Euro leagues as soon as they see their NHL hopes realistically die.

You can like Kossila here but there's just no need to get so ahead of yourself on where some of these much younger prospects could be in 4-8 years.

We all know a prospect in their mid 20s need to produce around that level to have any hope of having scoring line upside in the NHL - and it's certainly never a guarantee that it directly translates to an NHL future. His numbers at that age in themselves just aren't going to be enough to convince everyone to like him more than a prospect they see having greater overall potential, or even a higher floor.

Perbix and McLaughlin for example...if you've seen enough of these 17 and 18 year olds to know for sure how they will compare to Kossila 7-8 years down the road, why didn't you share a single comment about either of them in their draft threads?

Instead of comparing Kossila's AHL stats to your predicted future stats of a player you've never seen, why not just tell us why you think he can be a quality NHL player?

Kossila is about 8 months of mediocre hockey away from not being Ducks property anymore

I’m rooting for him but he better produce this year

Kossila reminds me of Ryan Lasch. Lasch was smaller but same college, similar styles, dime a dozen player. My guess is he either goes to the Finnish League or ends up playing 4th line minutes for his career. But it wont be with the Ducks, Bob likes to get rid of older prospects for nothing.
