Kossila reminds me of Ryan Lasch. Lasch was smaller but same college, similar styles, dime a dozen player. My guess is he either goes to the Finnish League or ends up playing 4th line minutes for his career. But it wont be with the Ducks, Bob likes to get rid of older prospects for nothing.

I was looking back at other smaller, skilled college guys who we signed at a similar age who played in the AHL and it’s an absolute mixed bag. McDonald, Kunitz, Shannon, Sexton and Ebbett all had good to very good College and AHL numbers who played in the NHL at some point.

I see a lot of skill and some good vision in Kosilla. But I also don’t see enough explosiveness and snark to make up for his lack of strength and top end talent. A guy like McDonald you could see the potential as he was absolutely explosive and needed little AHL time, I don’t really see the same type of potential there (or anything close to it). Maybe he could be a fixture on a depth scoring line.
