We did BPA for 20 years? You mean like in 2006 and 2007 who we almost only drafted D's? Or when in 2009 we almost exclusively drafted C's?

Habs wanted Koktaniemi, tried trading down to #5 but Arizona also wanted Kotkaniemi and they weren't willing to pay the price to move up. Sens also wanted Kotkaniemi and knew the habs would take him, otherwise AZ would so they leaked it to the press to **** the habs over since we're divisional rivals. I also made all this up.

Yeah, they took Hayton at #5, pretty sure Kotkaniemi was #1 in their list.

McShane is great value. Nearly a PPG in the OHL in your draft year is very good production- heck that's where Hayton was at.
