I think people need to accept that defense isn't about raw totals anymore. You're going to give up yards and points. 3rd down defense, takeaways and pressure/sack rates and points per possession matter more now.

That's half no duh and half horrible hot take. The Rams are drawing close to 70,000 per game, which would be capacity for almost any stadium in the NFL, and the only reason they're not at capacity is because LA Coliseum is gigantic. They'll be fine, so them saying that "The NFL's Move To L.A. Looks To Be A Financial Disaster" is a pretty nonsensical blanket statement.

The Chargers are the one that everybody with a last name other than Spanos saw coming a mile away.

I love Manning, but that being said he would be about as exciting as Toews being a play by play guy for NHL games after his retirement. No thanks.

I think Peyton would be better in the "film breakdown" role than the commentary role, anyway. But I don't like how this is structured. I'd love to see him pick 3-4 games a week and break them down. Doesn't always have to be the closest games, either. Could be what went wrong in a blowout when we expected a close game, or why one team sucks so much and what they've been doing wrong all year, etc.

Makes sense. Wonder if we're getting toward the end of the Tannehill experiment. He can't stay healthy, and when he does play, they're afraid to let him throw it too much.

The owners got to split $1.2 billion in relocation fees from the Chargers and Rams. I think this short-term dip in revenue from those teams playing in temporary locations is easy to swallow.
It's not about low ticket sales or a temporary stadium, it's about no one in LA giving a crap about them. One team isn't going to sink the league, but it's an easily fixable problem by letting them go to Texas or another market.

Re: Tannehill; Miami has a good team there, get a more competent less injury prone QB and they could be a more consistent team. Got to think they go QB early in the 2019 draft.

Brock Osweiler is worse than Tannehill. Adam Gase loves Osweiler though.
