RIP Tom Higgins, 1938-2018 who from 1954-1997 covered the sport for the Charlotte Observer and had been awarded the 2015 Squier/Hall Award of Excellence in journalism as part of the 2015 Hall of Fame class, passed early this AM in NC;

Hidden camera lawsuit against former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle resumed this week

Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle took the stand this week in a civil case filed against him.

Last summer, Biffle was accused by his ex-wife, Nicole Lunders, and his former mother-in-law of installing hidden cameras inside their Lake Norman, North Carolina residence, recording them without consent and showing the footage to other people.

The cameras were installed in the master bedroom, master bathroom and the guest bathroom.

Cummins returns to NASCAR, last with RFR and Mark Martin, has signed at least a 2 race deal with SHR, and will ease the team sponsorship search for the 14 of Clint Bowyer, since Rush Truck Centers already is a partner, will debut at Bristol and Talledega;

Martinsville considering potential night racing after installing of LED, but likely earliest timeframe is 2020 (remember the blizzard of 2018);
