it was actually both of those reasons: Cobb County gave them a ton of money and their fans all come from the northern suburbs.

Watching the Braves look completely meh in this game...

The Nats and Phils should be ashamed of themselves. This should have been a 3 team race.

Molina (with the help of Acuna) puts the game away. 6-1. Braves are going to be 4-14 in their last 18 home games. How is that even possible for a team going to the plyoffs?

The Nats especially. I don't care about injuries, there's no way they should be a .500 team.

Braves are definitely meh. Will get smoked in the postseason unfortunately. Their pitching and hitting basically have nothing left.

All JA Happ does is win.

Outside of one game against the Tigers, they have come through in each of his starts since he was acquired by Toronto.

If I’m NYY, I’d find a way to get him back for next year. You could argue he’s one of if not the reasons they are not trailing OAK in the WC race.

Did someone on the Yanks bet against them tonight? What the **** are they doing defensively in the 9th?

Well, considering the last time they played Boston, an infield defensive botch cost them on that Sunday Night Baseball game at Fenway, so it’s par for the course

Ian Desmond with a 20-20 season? Worth that contract

The 3rd base umpire set a fantastic pick on Hampson

Total implosion by the A's bullpen, especially the usually excellent Trivino.

The Diamondbacks have fallen and they can't get up.

This Dodgers/Rockies series kinda reminds me a little bit of Mets/Braves September 1999 where a hungry upstart was put in their place by the seemingly eternal division king.

OK, at some point the Rays pitching is bound to regress, right?

It’s basically Blake Snell and a bunch of guys I have never heard of

A's need to figure something out to fix these recent bullpen woes

TB is 5.5 back and not showing any signs of slowing down. please don't make this interesting

Seriously isn’t it coaching staff job to correct these kind of things?

Trash. They continue to not be ready to play. This is why Boone has to go.

Be ready to be disappointed because Boone will be there next year.

They need to cut down Trivino's usage be it in amount of innings and leverage situations. The guy has hit the rookie wall.

that and bomel needs to quit sending pagan out there. guy's been garbage all season
He's not really used in high leverage situations, though.

Yeah, it was complete garbage that Bartman's sister reached over and took a clear out away from Piscotty, but Trivino then gave up a hit, hit a guy who can't hit, then gave up a grand slam to a guy who had an ops below .4. He is THE reason they lost last night.

yeah its completely inexcusable for a big league pitcher to give up a GS to kaleb cowart. i've watched plenty of angels games and that guy is pure garbage, yet he played like mike trout last night

Looks like Javier Baez is locking up the NL MVP.

Javy has been a pleasure to watch all season long.
