A's lose a game on Houston to fall 3.5 behind, but Seattle loses to Baltimore so they fail to gain a game they had to have. Probably should have saved some of that fight for the game.

I doubt it was even a fight - they probably all swung and missed anyways.

Mariners franchise should be happy the Browns exist to take the memes and jokes away from them, even though the Mariners are actually 50x worse in comparison.

Playoffs are not even a long shot at this point - I would say it’s near impossible now and no one will convince me otherwise.

BKIslanders fan is overdoing it but I can understand his frustration. His team may be 87-52 but it hardly feels like that when your most hated rival is just better and ypur season can end after just one playoff game.

And considering how some of those 52 losses have transpired..... they aren’t like run of the mill losses.

They have lost at times in head scratching ways that make one wonder “There is NO way they should have lost this game.”

The 9th inning last Thursday vs Detroit, bases loaded no outs but get no runs vs the Rays, Gary Sanchez’s double whammy at Tampa

Combine some of these baffling defeats with the near-invincibility of the Red Sox and it adds up to a perfect storm.

Barring a miracle the Orioles are going to be the 3rd worst team of the modern era ( after the 1960 Mets, and 2003 Tigers), and Seattle loses to them? 2 losses to the Padres and now the Orioles. Oakland deserves it at this point.

The Braves have decided to abandon what worked throughout the year. Before, they were really aggressive in moving base runners and was really exciting to watch. Now, they just hit a single or two each inning and end up just stranding them on 1st and 2nd. Rinse and repeat the following inning. Boring and the losses are starting up again. The Sox are showing them that, while it's nice to see the Braves ahead of their rebuilding schedule, they're not even close to ready to tangle with the legit teams.
