Sorry, that might have been a little much, but I was thinking the pick was a big reach. Especially, when there was so many other picks that were safer, better established players, and had some size.

But Håkan Andersson said they liked his skill an hockeyIQ.

He said something like:

"You can take a beer leaguer at this point or something else. This time we wanted his skill and IQ".

Hoe can you reach with a 7th rounder? :D

So, basically he thinks everyone after pick 191 sucks.

There's a lot to like about this kid. Wright has some good things to say about him in the podcast posted on Zadina's page. I'd give it a listen, super intriguing prospect.

Would have like Pekar in the 3rd but that's about it. Torn between Berggren/Noel but ultimately wouldn't change it.

It would have been interesting, if San Jose would have won Vegas on a playoff series.

I think our picks would have been:

#6, #23, #32 #36

Then our picks would have probably been

#6 Zadina
#23 Merkley
#32 Veleno/Berggren
#36 McIsaac

I feel like nothing would have changed

I think the Wings would have probably taken Veleno at 23rd too, they did say he was high on their boards

How about 50 pounds and a minimum of two inches.

According to the roster for the development camp, he is 5'8 154 lbs. Gaining 50 lbs...he would play at 5'10 204 lbs...that seems like overkill. If he plays in the 5'8-5'10 range, I would say he needs to put on 15-25. Anything more than that and I think you would end up sacrificing way too much agility and speed, which I'm assuming is what his game is built on.

Kivenmäki’s father Marko, who was a well known player in the Finnish league, was about the same height and played at ~170 lbs. He was also a highly skilled player and lead their home team Pori Ässät in scoring for several seasons.
