I’m normally dead set against pushing prospects too fast and throwing them to the wolves so to speak, but do you think a guy like Pettersson would be able to handle the load?

In terms of balance, perhaps a strong argument can be made that Horvat is currently out best player (atleast since the 2nd half of last season), and so playing with Baertschi and Virtanen may not be as weak as one might think? Keep in mind - this trio were actually very good together during the 2015 preseason.

Eriksson, Roussel, Goldobin, and Leipsic can all compete or rotate for that left wing spot with Pettersson and Boeser.

Do you think a set up like this would work? Or would even be advisable?

My roster won't be popular but, as I said in the GDT, just keep all the vets on the roster, stash all the young bubble players and prospects in Utica. A guy like Goldobin, it's not like he deserves a spot anyway. He's been given a great chance to succeed and done nothing with it. Everyone has been so pedestrian in preseason that I honestly wouldn't blame management for not waiving a Granlund or Gagner in favour of - who? - Goldobin? Like, there's no incentive. He'll be just about as useless as Gagner. People have to realize this.

Pettersson has been playing center and playing well for the most part. Mostly he will start at center. Gaudette hasn't been playing well. Most likely Gaudette starts in Utica. Pettersson and Gaudette haven't played together at all in the preseason so they will not be on the same line.

The real work starts now. Green needs to make a team out of this heap. I think it's worse than imagined. I lulled away all Summer thinking they got this. The games so far show they ain't!

I believe they will keep Gaudette instead of Petterson and this will piss everybody off. I'd observe that they didn't prepare a unit for Petterson or bring in guys to compliment his game. That unit will be in Utica.

Canucks will tank the f*** out of it. Look at the goaltending. The best case scenario, for me, now, is that they demonstrate a new on ice identity that they can sell to free agents. That means a work ethic. The preseason makes that sound laughable, right now. A lot of this is the GMs fault. He appears to have guaranteed spots, or else how to explain the lackadaisical pre season? It undermines the shit out of everything! I think the team is a seriously hard sell these days and they needed to get people signed. I get it but Green must be hopping mad with the result. He should be in Benning's office every day going over the waivers and advocating trades. I'd have claimed some guys already.

Biega wasn’t a Benning pick/signing and so he’s automatically loved by the Chicken Little’s. Guys like Biega and Archibald are being held down you see, because there is a political play behind the scenes. Lack of talent? Not good enough? Fuhgettaboutit! I suspect Weisbrod is the mastermind behind the conspiracy.
