So, everything goes our way and things get interesting.

Draft slot - Points - Row

6. VAN -72 (30)
5. DET - 72 (25)
4. MTL - 71 (27)
3. ARI - 70 (27)

There are 4 games remaining that affect our final standings.

April 7th
4. NYI vs Det - 7 pm
5. Mon vs Tor - 7 pm
6. Ana vs Ari - 9 pm
7. Van vs Edm - 10pm

So, if we win our game we'll be mildly interested in the Vancouver game to see if we place 5th or 6th

But if we lose our game we will finish bottom 5 and will be closely watching to see if Montreal or Arizona pass us.

Toronto should realistically be resting lots of players. They're locked into their spot. Hard to say though, Matthews has already missed a lot of time and Babs likes to ride Andy.

Anaheim looks like they'll still be playing for something unfortunately. Though they are on the second half of a b2b.

If one of those teams can pass us, I'd be happy.

I may be getting drunk for that Vancouver game if the situation is right.
Keep it real, man. Keep it real.

most of their fans would probably be hoping they'd lose in regulation so doing that might be antagonizing them. That being said, the mods would have to perform some real mental gymnastics to give you an infraction for rooting for their team.....

Wow, Colorado goes from worst overall with 48 points, to making the playoffs on the last day possible, with 95 points. Impressive improvement.

Vancouver went 6-1-1 down the stretch (not including tonight). Wow they really didnt want to finish with a top 3 pick.

Not only a top 5 pick but we also obtain Ottawa's second rounder from the famous Brendan Smith trade.

So if we don't win the lottery we will pick from 5-8. We should be able to get one of Boqvist, Dobson and Bouchard in that position.

They dropped 3 spots. 1 due to Vegas and 2 due to Dallas and Philly winning 2 of the lotteries and jumping ahead of us.

I want a top 5 pick so we can get Boqvist.
Yeah but dropping 3 spots due to 3 teams below 5 winning the top 3 picks is highly unlikely. 6-7 is our most likely position. Boqvist could still be around then.

I mean, what is location, really
What actually happens is the only thing that matters not the percentage chance of it happening.
The percentage chance is what determines what happens. Nothing else. What you're describing is called sampling, and it is not at all separate from the original set of probabilities. What actually happens is a function of the probabilities specified by the NHL. Well, unless you think it's rigged.
