Haha. Just did a quick count and Tanguay actually has been a little worse. 9pts rather than 11pts in that span. Still, I mean, it's garbage out, garbage in. No biggie.

I was really mad when I first heard Tanguay was coming back. until I found out he's on an expiring contract

Less than an hour to go and so far very little has been done. Still plenty of time for more to happen, but we'll see.

Almost wish Hanzal was traded as today was so underwhelming

So we're not dumping Grossmann? And/or try to get a 4th Rder?

Maybe ownership is unwilling to retain salary for tiny little returns. Maybe Don asked them to eat cash on Grossmann and/or Gordon for 4th/5th round returns and they declined.

So instead of paying half, they decide to pay the entire salary?

Maybe Tippett didn't want to lose the veteran presence in the room. :sarcasm:

And give themselves the best chance to compete and win games and sell tickets down the stretch.

I don't agree with the theory, but it's possible that they feel that way.

Also possible nobody wants our crap. :)

Matia Marcantuoni was a projected 1st rounder before his draft year, and took a major tumble. Much like Anthony Duclair in that regard. Except Marcantuoni never rebounded.

Are we intentionally sabotaging Springfield at this point?
