Because the 1500m is more about strategy over time. It isn't a time trial, you follow the pack at the start, just keep pace then start running in the last 500m or so. At those distance, you will often see way faster time in the prelim compared to the final.

They're great athletes no doubt, but they would be in the Olympics if they were world level.

Back to the Lochte incident on Dancing with the stars -- Jimmy Kimmel took the whole thing to task with a couple of well-placed zingers.

A protester casually ambled in front of the camera, sporting anti-Lochte t-shirt and was promptly taken down by an ABC security staffer, which prompted Kimmel to quip, "that tackle, that's the closest ABC will ever be to hosting Monday Night Football."

And, then he added: "The men were arrested on suspicion of trespassing, or as they call it on DWTS, tresspassodoble."

More:

"Good way to know if you don't have enough to worry about in your life is if you decide to protest Ryan Lochte being on DWTS."

The protester claimed he wanted to publicize that it was a bad decision to have a liar like Lochte on DWTS. To which Kimmel retorted:

"I don't think this guy realizes being on DWTS is Lochte's punishment. Do you think he'd be doing this if things had gone well?"
