Nope, still embarassed
I thought I would kick it off here.
Cammallieri - A He was killing it before his arm killed him.
Zajac - A- Still doing his thing and contributing on the offensive end this year. Needs 5 more goals for an A. Please shoot the puck more please, K, thanks!
Henrique - B 30 goals is impressive. The season is 6 months long, please don’t collect them all in just 2 of them. His tendency to mail it in many nights is disturbing and in a lot of cases infectious.
Palmieri - A 30 goals and a player almost every night.
Boucher - B+ I think the team found a player. Really developed into a complete player. after playing without confidence earlier in the year. Seemed to revive Zajac. Expectations will be much higher next year.
Elias - Incomplete Played in a few games, looked old, but had a gimpy knee. Still knows how to end up on the scoresheet.
Gionta - D- He used to hit, he used to really hustle. Seemed to get too comfortable.
Kalinin - C- Came out pretty well despite having to adjust to NA ice, but has definitely not progressed and you could argue that he regressed a bit. Isn’t all that noticeable.
Kennedy - C- Had a good stretch of 10 or so games, but not very good for 40.
Tootoo - F An absolute circus in his own zone. Took stupid penalties. Ugh
Blandisi - C Came out a house of fire, became very average. Still adjusting to the pro game. Learn to skate Bambi
Josefson - C Can’t do anything 5 on 5. Good specialist. Surprising on the half wall on the PP. Or else it would be an F
Smith-Pelley - B Came in looking like Reilly Smith ended up looking like Rod Pelley.
Stempniak - A For a PTO, he led the team in points. Desperately filled a need at RW. How can you give him anything other than that?
Farnham - C- Started out well, like Tootoo last year, then just started to become more of a liability by taking stupid penalties at the wrong time. Brings energy, like Gionta used to. Good 13th forward.
Pietilla - C Can’t give him anything higher or lower. He’s ok defensively and a decent skater. Didn’t stick out.
Sislo - Meh Meh is his grade. Who cares about the career minor leaguer
O’Neill - Meh Meh is his grade too.
Ruutu - F Ruutu means failure
Tlusty - F Tlusty also means failure
Greene - A- Logged heavy minutes, but seemed to regress with his contribution in the offensive zone.
Larsson - B+ Made a leap in his development thanks to Pete being gone. When he’s on, he may be better than Greene at this point. A little less consistent than Greene which knocks him down a peg. He’s a stud and only 23. Can’t wait to see him contribute on the PP.
Severson - C- Sophomore slump personified
Schlemko - B Better than I thought he would be. Looked like a 4 or 5D most of the time.
Moore - D I know he scored some pretty OT goals which is why he gets a D instead of an F, but his D is necrotic. Shero gave this guy a 3 yr contract? He’s laughing all the way to the bank.
Merrill - F What happened to his confidence? He looked ok at times, but other times he looked like he was back in college.
Mozik - C Didn’t look out of place all the time. He’s young and has time to improve
Warsofsky - F Nuff said.
Helgeson - F Not an NHLer
Gelinas - F Dumb hockey player
Schneider - A+ MVP of the team. Vezina candidate and if not for Holtby playing on a stacked team, could have won it for such a garbage team playing in front of him.
Kinkaid - C- Still too inconsistent. Looks like Cory one night, then looks like Yann Danis in others. Rebound control needs to improve and lets in too many softies. A head case.
Wedgewood - B Stepped him expecting him to not play as good as Kinky, but played better. His knock was he was so athletic he would get himself out of position. Didn’t see that this time. May bump Kinky next year.
Hynes - B+ Players like him and respond to him. Adjusts well in game. Team, despite injuries, is better. But some of his lineup and in game decisions are baffling.
Asst Coaches - B The defensive scheme is baffling and easily exploited, but the special teams are good and the other reason why they weren’t a last place team.
Shero - B+ I would love to give him an A, but that Moore and Warsofsky signings are brutal. Robbed the Ducks twice for Palmieri and the DSP trades. Fleeced the Avs for a 3rd round pick. Stemp was a great signing and the trade was better. Should have signed Gomez. Kudos for improving the Albany team.
