I guess part of the concept behind a top-30 is that some players don't make the cut... still, with the pool as deep as it is, i wouldn't mind seeing it extended to 35 this year.

Can't believe Greenway went before Loov and Dzierkals, I get the potential and being a 3rd rounder but i just dont see how he's ahead right now

How is Corrado/Loov/Sparks not picked yet? All look to have NHL careers in some sort of capacity... Corrado probably will play next year, and who knows with a full training camp, he could make some people eat their words... I remember a sense of excitement when we picked Corrado off of waivers, and now after 39 games late into the season he doesn't even make it as our 26th best prospect? Yeeeeesh.

He doesn't have to be ahead right now.... Its his potential that puts him ahead of other prospects in my opinion.

Can't see Loov/Sparks having an NHL career tbh, Loov is too slow and his his positioning isn't great either, Sparks has too many holes to correct.

Corrado might carve something but nothing more than a 6-7 dman, I guess some people like myself value potential of some of the other guys more. Anyhow were in the mid 20s now, it is what it is.

I know, I just think we're underrating those three guys because we know what we have in them, where as the other guys it's like a mystery box.

And when I say an NHL career in some sort of capacity I mean they're going to earn an NHL salary for a decent amount of time in their careers, or they already have. I'm not a big fan of Sparks at all and see him as a backup at best, and Loov not much better. Most of these others guys are going to be lucky just earning an ELC.

I do get the potential aspect, I guess in the mid twenties I feel more comfortable picking a sure thing, then something that more than likely won't.

Loov is nearing the end of his shelf-life as a prospect, and hasn't made any progress with his game in years.

Dzeirkals had a hot start but ended up with a very modest year.

In terms of point production. Lets not forget he was a rookie. I watched him quite closely in the mem cup and there were moments that he was the best player on the ice. Blazing speed and a good shot. I think we will see a drastic improvement next year. (if he returns to rouyn)

In what world was he ever the top dman? He played third pairing with Percy almost all season and was worse than both Holl and Valiev easily.

Do you actually watch games or just spew?
