Once Jost is gone, half of them want to trade down, with a sizable amount wanting Rubtsov, yet wanting no part of McLeod. Then they trade down only 1 spot, pick McLeod, while the Flyers grab a 2nd and get Rubtsov. They were quite happy.

Funny...one NJ fan wanted who I wanted:

Are we taking Kunin, Bellows or Rubstov?

For those who won't go look, here are some of the Devils reactions to McLeod. Compare how we felt about Rubstov:

I dunno, that still seems a bit unfair, and a few did recognize that McLeod has an elite NHL skill in his skating. A "Faster Travis Zajac" is not a bad outcome at 11/12 overall.

Holy moly, Florida did well on Kulikov.

I like Pysyk and I thought Kulikov was kind of seen as a bust or at least not as good as projected.
