It's an event for kids. The actual shootout competition is later.

I understand the fun part, but it's become farcical. They could have just had a separate off camera segment to do that, not make it part of what is supposed to be a competition.

I don't care about seeing some player's spoiled kid score a goal during the All-Star weekend, they can do that at their mansion.
