Going with Tomek here. I think he will re-bound. Is he confirmed to come back to U. of North Dakota?

I think he will too, but I went with Fedotov because I just read that interview in the other thread that Allesandro translated for us and Fedotov seems like a great kid. But I honestly feel like we are legitimately seven deep with good goaltending prospects and I wouldn't be surprised if any of them ended up being our Cup Run starting GT.

Went with Fedotov. I was psyched on Tomek last year (moreso than Sandstrom) but then he didn't play last year due to his injury and it sounds like at least from what people are saying on here he may find it hard to get minutes at UND this year too.

Pretty much a speculative toss up between two unknowns, but at this point I'll vote Tomek based on his better pedigree and draft position.

I don't know enough about either but Tomek was considered one of the top 3 draft eligible goalies last year by a lot of experts and Fedotov went much later in the same draft, so I will assume not much has changed since then in their abilities.

This may change next year if Tomek doesn't stay healthy and play well this season though.

If Tomek isn't getting minutes, he'll leave school. Can't go 2 years and only have played 9 or 10 games

If he's healthy and still can't beat out that 5'9" 24 year old for the backup job that would be bad.

Yes, he's not playing in the CHL, so they can sign him out of college, he may want to try to transfer to another school, or he can go the Stolarz route and find a CHL team who is interested.

The CHL no longer allows import goaltenders. Unfortunately, that is not an option.

Is the USHL a possibility for Tomek?

Not the best option but would probably be better than the ECHL.

Yeah he could play in the USHL. It's not ideal, but it's an option.

How does Tomek have a better pedigree? He couldn't have had a worse draft+1 season.

He could have played and sucked. That certainly would have been worse. He was one of the best goalies in the draft a year ago. Kyle Woodlief even thought he was the best. He got hurt and missed the season. It's unfortunate, but he's not dead.

Tomek didn't miss the entire season with an injury. He spent at least half of it on the sidelines because he sucked.
