Rough start in Baltimore. 2-0 with 1 gone in the bottom of the 1st.

Sanchez gave up a lead off HR to De Aza and then a solo shot to the #3 hitter Chris Davis. He has now walked Adam Jones.

Christ! Sanchez got the double play ball he needed but then dropped the ball at first.

If anyone didn't catch the Pillar catch tonight, unreal. One of the best Jays defensive plays I've seen in a long time.

Good to see them come out. Jays win, Raps get their record win and Flames win... Amazing.

was a great catch, especially considering it was a blowout at the time. Pillar just has no quit.

Rays put up a 4 spot in the top of the 9th to make it look somewhat respectable at 12-7 but this was a blowout through and through

Jays off to a decent start this evening. They lead 2-1 in the bottom of the 2nd, Travis led the game off with a HR and Martin hit his first as a Jay.

That was some horribad defense. Martin made a good play to get the Sox catcher in a rundown between first and second, but neither Pillar nor Pompey were prepared to cover the base and no one was at 2nd when the first baseman got the ball.

Edwin just went fifth deck. Jays are up 11-3 in the bottom of the 6th.

Jays have been struggling because they always try to hit homers. Every time I watch them it's the same thing. The other team grinds out runs and makes their pitchers pay for any vulnerability/lack of location. The Blue Jays go up and are only interested in hitting homers, and they either hit solo home runs or pop/strike out. Frustrating. Hopefully they can adjust.

Make it 13-4 now. Orioles threw behind Bautista then he goes deep a couple pitches later.

Bautista admired it too to send a message to the kid.

Tensions are really high in this game. That was the 2nd time the O's have thrown behind Bautista this year (and he has homered both of those at bats). During the commercial break when they were changing Bautista and Jones got into a shouting match. First hitter of the inning singled to right and Bautista tried to throw him out as if it was a close game, then he and Young started yapping at each other.

Tomorrow night could be pretty awesome.

I REALLY hope we can string a good winning streak together, to really set ourselves up to win the AL E. We NEED it and are capable of doing so.

The issue here is when on any given night they're dressing at least 3 big game hunters in their lineup.

Bautista, EE and Davidson all have a ton of power; and it's tough when they've been your 2-4 or 3-5 all season.

I'm all for manufactured runs. I think it's the way good teams win games, smart baseball. The power will come, but making things more simple would be very beneficial. I mean Reyes is a .300+ hitter, meaning at least once a game you can get a base hit from him. He's got speed to burn, and should be looking at second every time he's on base. It hasn't really been a priority as of yet; stolen bases; advancing runners and sacrifice runs. It's been a lot of power ball, and it's why it seems the Jays either win 12-6 or lose 3-1, 2-1, 3-2, 4-2.

They were doing it at the beginning of the season but once they got home, their mentality changed.

Justin just Smoak'd that pitch. 2 run shot, first as a Jay. Game tied 2-2. First 2 runs of run support Sanchez has gotten this season.

Devon Travis has gone deep, 2 run shot. Jays now up 4-2. This kid has been real impressive thus far IMO

Just tuned into the Jays game and heading into bottom of the fifth the Jays are up 6-0 and sounds like Donaldson had a bomb off the facing to the 5th deck, measuring at 480-something which is the longest in the majors this year.

And Donaldson doubles!

Apparently Hutch was perfect through 5, then gave up a leadoff homer in the top of the 6th
