So we are picking Bittner at 9th based on the v02 tests. Or Trenin in the second round.
Bittner ? He is not even in the top ten.

VO2 max test results :
1 Matthew Spencer 70.0
2 Nicholas Boka 69.9
3 Joel Eriksson Ek 68.6
4 Brendan Warren 66.6
5 Kyle Capobianco 66.6
6 Jacob Larsson 66.0
7 Jesper Lindgren 65.9
8 Mathieu Joseph 65.6
9 Brock Boeser 65.5
10 Jansen Harkins 65.2

Maybe it was the V02 duration? I honestly didn't know there was two tests until after I did my ridiculous V02 Max draft hypothetical. But then I noticed the Shorks draft equally from both.

It's basically the same test.

And by the way there are no VO2 max in 2013, just VO2 test duration. (Not sure, correct me if I am wrong)

VO2 Max test is more important than VO2 test duration.

If we just look at those VO2 test results, Joel Eriksson Ek is very likely to be a Shark.

(Don't want another hard-working two-way player with mediocre skating.)

If it's more important, then why didn't they test it in 2013? And why did the Sharks draft the #1 duration result and spend a 2nd in doing so?

Also, I hope you know I'm being tongue in cheek here. I'm just playing on the inside joke they always draft from V02 winners. I do find it more interesting to hypothesize on who they will draft rather than who they should though. ;)

Actually you are right about something, Sharks ALWAYS draft from the VO2 Max top 10.

Remember Sadowy ? He was 3rd in the VO2 max test.

I thought I had read he was  I don't know I saw something. Maybe they will take their V02 top 10-er in the second round.

right here. Saw something about Bittner and v02 and just kind of guessed.

Curious how my mock results will go over here...

9. San Jose Sharks – Lawson Crouse – The San Jose Sharks could go a number of different ways here but opt for the big and complete two-way winger in Lawson Crouse. His pure offensive upside has been questioned time and time again but many areas of his game have not, including his shot, skating ability, 200-foot game, compete and pro-ready size. Teams need players like Crouse to compete in the Western Conference and he’ll be an impact player for them in the not too distant future, ideally after spending one more year improving his offensive game in junior.

If not Crouse? Pavel Zacha.

Not ideal but not unhappy about it. Would personally prefer any of Zacha, Connor, or Werenski ahead of Crouse. Zacha and Connor seem like they may have a higher offensive output eventually, which would help for the eventual retirements of Marleau and Thornton. We also lack defensive blue chip guys and Werenski could fit the bill. We could use a guy like Crouse at some point though but getting him with the 9th seems too early.

Crouse is fine, but if we took him over all three of the guys you listed (assuming they're still available), I'd be pretty bummed.

Agreed. I like Crouse a lot and would be fine with taking him, but there's no way I'd take him over Zacha, Connor and Werenski. And since the chances are high that at least one of those three will be on the board when we pick, I'm hoping we pass on Crouse and take one of them.

Of the VO2 max results, I like Larsson in the 2nd or Lindgren if we can get a late 2nd or early 3rd... I honestly have no idea where Lindgren will go. He's so talented offensively but he has very high bust potential.

Right-shot Defensemen with value later on include Bouamman and my personal favourite, Veeti Vainio, who I think is underrated.

I hope Lindgren can slide to the 4th, tho that's not very realistic.

But hey ! A man can dream, right ?

I've never seen Bouramman but from what I've read and heard there seems to be a lot to like about him. Very easy for me to trust players coming out of the Greyhounds.

Vainio was apparently supposed to be what Saarijarvi was at the U18 but was disappointing. Could be a nice late round pick.

I like Bouramman a lot and I'd be surprised if he's still on the board in the 4th but I agree, both could be good value picks if they're available outside the top 90.
