What's the deal with the Friedman hype? Asking genuinely, I don't know a whole lot about him.

Undersized (height wise, kid is broad) defenseman, but has great offensive instincts, good skating and is actually a good two way player, also pretty darn gritty. He is a righty as well!

Put up really good figures for a Dman two years in a row in the USHL, and went to Bowling Green this year.

Had a pretty awesome freshman year, putting up 0.5 PPG from the backend, played PP and PK and was trusted with some pretty important minutes from the get go, ie last minute of games etc.

His production this year in the NCAA was the 3rd best amongst teenage defensemen after Hanifin and Werenski.

If he keeps developing he could well have a legitimate NHL future with a ceiling of a 2nd pairing guy.
