Canada entered the 2014 World Junior Championship with a bit of a cloud hanging over the goaltending position. Recent WJC's have produced a mixed bag of goaltending performances for that country, a failing that has been pointed to as a main reason for Canada's relative lack of recent success at a tournament that they have dominated more often than not over the years.
This year's goaltending tandem of Jake Paterson and Zach Fucale hope to change the perception that Team Canada is suffering from a shortage of top-notch goaltending talent.
