Don't joke. There's a new format this year. Every team has to put up one B level prospect to enter the tournament.

If you finish last, you have to trade that player to the first place team for a 7th round pick.

Dallas is considering Gemel Smith or Dimitry Sinitsyn. The player has to be at the tournament participating.

There's no way that's real. No team would enter the tournament, besides, who would determine what a B prospect consists of?

Are any of us real? What if Satan is just a sarcastic computer programmed to respond to Dallas talk?

It's not real ... sorry. I was being a smart ass. I'm still at work on a Friday and bored.

Satan is just leaching the fun out of this majestic tournament. :sarcasm:

Thoughts on Oleksiak, Ritchie, Stransky, Jokipakka (2011 draft) being there? Last year Nemeth, Campbell, and Klingberg were there (2010 draft) and Chiasson, McKenzie (2009 draft). But Glennie (2009 draft) was not.

Oleksiak has two years pro, so I don't think he will be there. The other three might?

I have to admit I was hoping for a sudden, violent reaction of anger, but I bailed and thought it was probably just stupid.

You played it quite well, you just gave up too soon.

Amateur hour ....

Back on track I guess. This is one of my favorite events of the year. It's honestly as good or better than the draft. I hope NY considers filming.

I'd totally be down for a tourney like that. Sounds awesome.

Because of the long playoff run I imagine the AHL guys won't be there.

Klingberg might if he's healthy in time. Campbell maybe. Nemeth no.

I expect you'll see all the new guys from the 2013/14 draft.

You'd have to think Campbell would play right? I'm not 100% sure how this tournament would work with Desrosiers in the fold. Would he be an option?

All CHL players are options. I doubt Campbell will play.

They'll rotate Desrosiers and Kiviaho probably, but unless he's hurt there's a 100% chance Desrosiers is there.

The only players who can't participate are NCAA prospects .... So Shore unless they draft another. Some younger Europeans may not participate but the ones they plan on having at camp will. For example I bet one of if not both Bystrom and Lindell come for Traverse and part of camp like Klingberg did last year. Morin might even be in that group, but I would not guess we'd see Makela or Hansson.

I would guess the D will be Vance, Sinitsyn, Bystrom, and Lindell. They'll bring any non - NCAA or Euro D they draft .. so basically only CHL drafted D from 2014. I think they take 8 so the roster probably gets filled out with 2 to 4 tryouts. Some 18 year old undrafted like Labrie several years ago .... Some potential AHL contracts for Texas.

I expect Dallas' freshly signed top LW prospect Kevin Hayes to be on a line with Dickinson and Troock.

Will Ekblad be playing for the Stars in this tournament? I think yes. He will be a great future D man for sure
